Rohini
Rohini is tall with and sparkly eyes to show some extra elegance. If that isn’t enough to tell her apart from Astrid, if you look closely her cheeks are a lighter shade of brown. Rohini birthed Ringo in May 2021; our first birth on the farm, it will always be very special for her. Rohini is an angel, not a lot phases her and she is very gentle. She will normally let a greedy alpaca take treats from her, but when she knows what she wants, she will go for it.
Watch Rohini, along with Astrid and Blaze destroy the garden in the name of dust baths
Often a struggle for some visitors to tell these two apart (until they take a treat), but Rohini is on the left, Astrid right
We have loved working with Rohini’s wool and seeing the chestnut red variant of her fleece being worn by our customers (left)
We’re over halfway through the year in terms of fleece length and one thing that may need a trim soon… Rohini’s fringe!
A lovely walker, Rohini explores Sanzay with our customers and loves tasting the leaves as we walk passed.
If you adopt Rohini, you’re not only getting yourself, or someone for a gift, a year long subscription to newsletters all about Rohini and the farm, you’re supporting this small business and becoming a part of our journey. As well as this, some of the possibilities your adoption fee pays for and gives Rohini are:
Feeds Rohini special nutrients alpacas need for 1 year
Rohini’s annual injection and any necessary parasite treatments
3 fence repairs to keep Rohini safe
2 cans of petrol to help us maintain healthy pasture for Rohini
10 bales of hay, which will feed Rohini for the duration of the adoption
7 bags of carrots… which is too much for Rohini to eat in a year, but given the chance, she would!
A paddling pool and hours of splash and cooling-down fun
2 enrichment walks to see interesting sites and eat the greener grass on the other side
