FAQs
Farm visits
-
Our schedule is published on our home page and it is necessary to make a reservation. Generally our experiences start at 10h and 15h.
The farm doesn’t have regular open hours such as 9h-17h for visiting. To make each experience special and not overwhelming for the alpacas we limit the number of people in our groups for experiences. Every activity at the farm is guided (there are no free tours).
-
A visit to our alpaca farm is with a reservation only, made on this website.
-
At the bottom of each experience page, you’re able to book your activity with our alpacas. Each experience has its own page, you can access them from here.
If you want to book a few activities together, please contact us by email with details of your request including:
Number of people (under 3s, children aged 3-10 and adults)
Your preferred date and time
The activities you’re interested in doing
-
Yes, gift cards to visit the farm, or for overnight stays are available and are valid for 1 year. You can either buy a gift card at our online shop, or contact us for something bespoke.

Yes, we can always use our hard standing area if our fields are too damp, please make us aware of your needs in advance.
-
All our reservations are made with payment in advance via our secure payment systems; stripe, apple pay or paypal. Business to business by invoice.
This is because we have limited spaces for each session, ensuring our experiences remain the best they can be for your experience with the alpacas, and doesn’t overwhelm the animals either, as their welfare is so important to us and you too.
-
Sorry, no dogs are allowed to accompany you to the farm, as our alpacas are very scared of dogs, even the friendliest ones (ours included), and this wouldn’t make for a good experience for you or them.
We must allow registered guide dogs, and for the reasons above we are not sure how well this would work with the experience, but we would do our best to work with you and the animals in this case. Please make us aware in advance if you have this need.
-
This is not possible, and there is no access to do this either. We ensure the best welfare possible for our alpacas, and ensure the safety of our visitors too. Those who come to the farm for activities with the alpacas not only create their own special memories, they also help financially towards the care for the alpacas.
The visit to meet the alpacas can be booked here.
-
Absolutely! We have specific training for animal assisted activity with alpacas and llamas and the alpacas have a natural instinct for these activities too. Please contact us to discuss your group’s needs for us to create a great visit to the farm for them.
-
We do not take holiday vouchers, sorry. We have applied to be registered so we hope to be able to take them in the future.
-
Your initial confirmation email sent when you made your booking has a link to make changes to your booking.
Please check the terms and conditions for payment and refund terms.
-
We do not have a public picnic area, only one to be reserved for our picnics with alpacas. There are several local picnic areas we’d be happy to tell you about if you ask.

Sorry, we have a no pet policy at the farm. We love animals but adding additional guest pets will be stressful on our animals at the farm.
-
It is not possible to charge your electric car at the farm, we have reviewed our insurance policies and this would not be covered. As we do not have a specific fitting for electric car charging, we are unable to guarantee there would be no damage either to the electric car, or our electric circuits.
There are charging points available in Argentonnay by the Carrefour Contact, or in several places in Bressuire, including Lidl.
-
Our check-in period is between 15h and 20h. We can be flexible with this on occasion, please make your needs known to us before booking your accommodation if your needs are outside of these times so we can confirm if this is possible or not for your dates.
Checkout is by 10h. We do try to be flexible on request, but please know with visitors to the farm for alpaca experiences and two accommodations that may need changeovers for 15h arrivals, 10h is our checkout time. Should you want a later checkout time, we recommend booking the next evening to ensure you meet your needs, and can have a leisurely day and enjoy the space at the farm.

Yes, we will make a short introduction to the alpacas during your check-in and provide you with a small bag of treats for the alpacas, that you can feed them over the fence after the farm is closed to the public. It is not possible for you to enter the fields with them, but they will approach you at the fence.
Make sure you book an experience with the alpacas if you really want to get to know them and have something to truly remember.
-
No, the tent is not heated, as this is quite impossible with a 7m round and 4m high canvas bell tent. However, we provide extra blankets all year around, and at the start and end of the season if we have unexpected colder weather, we provide electric heated blankets for each bed to keep you cosy overnight.
