We use the wool from our own herd, which is between 16-26 microns (or 80-99% comfort factor). When felt-wrapped around soap it creates a perfect lather, so your soap will last longer and gives a very gentle exfoliation. Felt-wrapping means that it will not shred when used, although movement around the soap can occur with use, the wool will stay tight together so, it won't moult.
